Heart surgeon causes a heart break 💔

Sneha Gowda

The mother of all poll battles ‘ BANGALORE RURAL ‘ has caused a brutal heart break to D K Suresh , the loksabha candidate who was a three-time MP from there.

D K suresh , the brother of KPCC president and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, D K Shivakumar , contested against political novice Dr Manjunath and was defeated by a huge margin of 2,68,094 votes .This massive defeat has caused a severe heart break to DK brothers as they considered bangalore rural as their political strong hold all these years .The general assumption was that no one would break their Fort and defeat them. But this defeat has shaken the confidence of DK brothers who thought they would own their fort forever .

D K Shivakumar always believed in ‘disciplinary’ action on those who never got a lead to the congress party in their booth and was firm on not giving them a state rank position in the party and also assembly or Parliament tickets to such party leaders. But his own brother losing in such a big margin has not only come as a big heart break to him but also an embarrassment where he cannot call his shots anymore on such ‘disciplinary ‘ actions in the party. D K Shivakumar also belived that money is the only criteria to win any polls , but this election result is an eye opener for him and the congress leadership that elections are won by a candidates who also has courteous and modest charisma with voters apart from financial capabilities. This result also has weakened his command on his Vokkaliga followers, which he had in his district as Dr Manjunath got 83,303 votes in kanakapura assembly segment, which DK brothers kept it as their fiefdom all these years .

Dr Manjunath is a famous cardiac surgeon known for his philanthropic works and his selfless medical service to the poor and needy. He is also the son in law of former Prime Minister H D Devegowda.
