Congress wins all the 3 seats in Karnataka by-elections proving all exist polls wrong. ‘AHINDA’ (Acronym for Minorities, OBCs and Dalits ) voters stood by the Congress party and voted in large numbers.
In Sandur, Labour Minister Santosh Lad, an OBC himself united the disgruntled Dalits and OBCs and steered the party to victory. As per surveys Congress had a big anti-incumbency in this seat but Santosh Lad’s political mastery ensured Annapurna’s victory in the by-elections here. The Congress candidate won by around 10 thousand votes here.
In Shiggaon, Congress got a shot in arm with the campaign strategies of seasoned politician Satish Jharkiholi. His campaign strategies ensured the OBCs and Dalits support the Muslim candidate without getting influenced by the BJP’s Hinduvta agenda. Congress candidate Yaseer Pathan won in a big margin around 14 thousand votes by proving all exit polls wrong.
In Channapatna, C P Yogeshwar proved he is still a name to reckon with, as he won the by polls by around 30 thousand votes which proved all the political analysts wrong.
