The social media and communication cell of JD(S) outshines both Congress in its presence on social platforms, While BJP still is the most popular political party with its social media presence in state.

It was BJP who taught political parties how to use social media to its advantage from 2014 loksabha polls .But the Janata Dal ( Secular) has performed too well beyond anyone’s imagination and expectations in the 2024 Loksabha elections.

Speaking to Bangalore Mail, JD(S) Spokesperson Gangadhar murthy said ” Our Social media and communication cells engaged voters emphasizing on local issues , farmer’s problems, drought, state government’s failure while Congress was busy in fighting the BJP by only criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and spewing verbal abuses on our leaders. The Congress never bothered about state issues. Our Cadre personally interacted with rural kannadigas and ensured they voted JD(S) keeping state’s development on mind. “. He also said that the alliance was a big success because it helped both BJP-JDS supporting each others through their cadres.

The Congress which was the second in terms of interactions and impressions on social media has lost its presence.

The voters were in awe in JD(S) bastions with the party’s social media, communications and IT cell by the way they compiled the verbal abuses of Chief Minister Siddaramiah, KPCC President D K Shivakumar, Minister Chaluvarayaswamy , MLA Narendra swamy and edited it into a short video turning it into sympathy for H D Kumaraswamy and the Party .
