Kannada film actress Triveni Rao, widely recognized by her screen name Rishika Raj, has entered a new phase of her life. In a major development bridging the political and entertainment worlds, the Tagaru fame actor has married the former Chief Minister of Tripura and current BJP Lok Sabha MP, Biplab Kumar Deb.
The intimate wedding ceremony took place on June 19 in New Delhi, held as a private and closely guarded affair. Following their low-key nuptials, the newly married couple arrived at the Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala, where they received a warm ceremonial reception from family members and close associates before heading to offer prayers at the historic Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur.

For the 54-year-old Biplab Kumar Deb, this marks his second marriage, following a mutual and legally concluded divorce in 2025 from his previous marriage of over two decades. Sources close to the family reveal that the veteran BJP leader decided to step into this new phase of his personal life with the support and encouragement of his immediate family, leading to his union with the Bengaluru-based actress.
From ‘Constable Saroja’ to National Headlines
Triveni Rao (Rishika Raj) shot to fame in the Kannada film industry with her standout performance as ‘Constable Saroja’ in the 2018 blockbuster Tagaru, starring Shivarajkumar and Dhananjaya. Her sharp comic timing and screen presence garnered immediate attention.

Biplab Kumar Deb’s Political Journey
