For Sandalwood’s golden couple—our very own Rocking Star Yash and actor Radhika Pandit—the grand global premiere of Namit Malhotra’s mega cinematic project Ramayana in Los Angeles was a moment of immense pride. But beyond the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, the red-carpet event turned into a treasured personal memory for the Bengaluru-based family. Their children, Ayra and Yatharv, experienced the magic of a big-screen movie theatre for the very first time in their lives.

A Special Milestone for the Siblings

The occasion carried extra warmth for the family as Yatharv celebrated his birthday on October 30 alongside his elder sister, Ayra. Watching the epic saga unfold on a giant cinema screen in LA marked a monumental first for the young siblings. Industry observers and fans across Karnataka have called it poetic that the children’s initiation into cinema began with an Indian epic close to their roots.

For generations, families in Karnataka and across India have grown up listening to stories from the Ramayana. For Ayra and Yatharv, that timeless heritage is now forever linked to their very first moviegoing experience.

Yash’s Passion Project Steps onto the World Stage

The premiere was a landmark event for Yash, who is not only portraying the formidable role of Ravana in the magnum opus but is also co-producing the pan-World film under his banner Monster Mind Creations.

Walking the Los Angeles red carpet alongside co-stars Ranbir Kapoor (Lord Rama) and Sai Pallavi (Sita), Yash brought Karnataka’s cinema presence to a global platform once again. The star has repeatedly shared that taking Indian culture and rich heritage to a global audience remains his driving dream. Seeing his own children take their first steps into the world of film through a project he championed makes this milestone deeply personal for him.
