The Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched extensive multi-state search operations targeting establishments connected to Attica Gold Company in a major crackdown on financial irregularities, money laundering, and alleged fraud schemes.
Central enforcement agencies, backed by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, executed coordinated raids across more than 17 to 19 locations. The primary targets included Attica Gold’s principal corporate offices on Cunningham Road and Queen’s Road in Bengaluru, alongside regional premises spread across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
Multi-State Crackdown and Missing MD
During the early hours of the operation, ED teams seized financial ledgers, transactional logs, bank account records, and property deeds linked to the firm’s leadership. However, the central agency’s primary suspect—Attica Gold founder and Managing Director Bommanahalli Babu (alias Ayub P Syed Basha)—was nowhere to be found.
Local law enforcement and central intelligence channels report that Babu was missing as search teams reached his residence and head offices. Unconfirmed reports suggest the promoter may have fled the country alongside family members shortly before or during the execution of search warrants. Authorities are actively verifying immigration checkpoints and exit routes to determine whether an international departure took place prior to the deployment of border alerts.
