MYSURU: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has significantly expanded its public awareness and outreach operations for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, urging citizens to complete and return their voter revision forms without delay.

To ensure maximum citizen participation, civic authorities have deployed dedicated public announcement vehicles across residential neighborhoods in the city. The mobile announcements inform residents that SIR forms have already been delivered to every household and remind them to hand over the completed documents to designated Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during collection drives.

Field Inspections to Address Resident Queries

In a bid to directly monitor the implementation of the campaign on the ground, MCC Commissioner M. K. Savita conducted extensive field inspections across several residential layouts.

During her visits, Commissioner Savita interacted with local residents to verify whether the SIR forms had reached every household and were being collected systematically. She also addressed resident inquiries regarding the electoral roll revision process and gathered direct feedback on the ground-level execution of the drive.

The Commissioner was accompanied during the inspection by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) for the Krishnaraja Assembly constituency alongside several Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), who collectively reviewed the operational progress in the field.

Urgent Call to Residents

Emphasizing the importance of an updated and accurate voter registry, the Mysuru City Corporation has issued an appeal to all eligible citizens to fill out their SIR forms accurately and return them to their respective BLOs at the earliest to prevent last-minute delays in finalizing the electoral rolls.
