Bizarre Security Breach: Karnataka Woman Arrested For ‘Black Magic’ Ritual On Judge’s Chair

CHIKKABALLAPUR: In an extraordinary and deeply unsettling security lapse right on the outskirts of the state capital, the Karnataka Police have arrested a 65-year-old woman for allegedly performing a “black magic” ritual directly inside a courtroom. The accused reportedly targeted the presiding judge’s bench in a desperate bid to influence an ongoing civil lawsuit.

The incident, which took place at the 1st Additional Senior Civil Judge and JMFC Court in Chikkaballapur, has raised serious questions about security protocols inside highly sensitive judicial zones across the state.

The CCTV Exposure

The accused, identified by local law enforcement as Manjula, allegedly managed to bypass standard security screening to enter the main courtroom undetected. According to police officials, she approached the empty judicial dais and scattered “ritualised” white mustard seeds—frequently associated with occult practices and superstitious hexes in rural pockets—directly onto the judge’s seat and surrounding desk.

The bizarre act went unnoticed until administrative staff later cross-verified routine internal closed-circuit television (CCTV) feeds. The footage clearly captured the senior citizen engaging in highly suspicious, ritualistic movements around the magistrate’s chair.

Judicial Security Under Scrutiny

Following a formal complaint registered by the court’s Chief Administrative Officer, the Chikkaballapur City Police moved swiftly to track down and arrest Manjula. Preliminary investigations reveal that the accused was deeply embroiled in a contentious, long-running civil property dispute. Facing structural legal hurdles, she allegedly resorted to supernatural intervention, believing the enchanted seeds would psychically compel the judge to rule in her favor.

While the incident has drawn ridicule online, local legal experts and security observers emphasize that it exposes a catastrophic failure in baseline court security.

“The fact that an individual could gain unfettered access to the judge’s chair to deploy any material—whether superstitious seeds or something lethal—points to a glaring oversight in entry monitoring that requires immediate intervention from the High Court,” a legal correspondent from the Bengaluru Mail Crime Bureau remarked.

The Chikkaballapur police have booked the accused under relevant sections of the law, including charges related to trespassing and criminal intimidation. She has since been remanded to judicial custody as law enforcement agencies review structural vulnerabilities within the court complex to prevent future breaches.
