While many opt for publicity by distributing notebooks and stationery to students, one real estate entrepreneur is making a deeper impact—by donating laptops to underprivileged and talented students.

In a society where numerous parents struggle to support their children’s education—especially in demanding fields like engineering and medicine—this philanthropist has stepped in to help where it’s needed most. Recognizing the essential role laptops play in modern learning, he has been donating them every month to deserving students from economically weaker backgrounds, using his own personal funds.

Over the last five years, this generous effort has led to the distribution of a staggering 476 laptops across various schools and colleges, earning him the title of a true education supporter.

The man behind this initiative is none other than the Chairman of Lohia Thinkers Forum , B.S. Shivanna Malavalli, who recently made headlines for advocating that portraits of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar be displayed in places of worship including temples, mosques, churches, and gurdwaras. Off late, Shivanna hit the news headlines with a strong demand for featuring Dr Ambedkar’s image on Indian Currency. His demand was taken note by National Leaders across political parties ,stirring a national wide movement to implement the demand

Speaking to Bangalore Mail, Shivanna shared insights into his motivation behind the initiative.
