Bengaluru: A shocking incident similar to the high-profile Renukaswamy murder case involving actor Darshan has come to light in Bengaluru. A man was allegedly kidnapped and brutally assaulted by a gang for sending obscene messages to his former girlfriend.

Much like the Darshan-Pavithra Gowda case, where a gang was involved in the abduction and killing of Renukaswamy, this incident also involves a group of 8 to 10 men. The victim, identified as Kushal, was reportedly kidnapped and assaulted by the group.

One of the accused is said to have recorded a video of the assault. The disturbing footage allegedly shows the attackers beating Kushal, stripping him, and targeting his private parts. The incident reportedly took place in Hesaraghatta, according to media sources.

Attackers Referenced Renukaswamy Case During Assault

During the brutal attack, one of the assailants reportedly mentioned the Renukaswamy case and warned Kushal that he could face a similar fate. They allegedly mocked him, saying, “Just like we finished Renukaswamy, we’ll finish you too”.

What Led to the Attack?

Authorities revealed that Kushal had been in a relationship with a college student for about two years. The couple broke up a few months ago, after which the woman began dating someone else. Upset by this, Kushal allegedly sent her obscene messages. The woman informed her new boyfriend, who then planned the assault along with his friends.

Under the pretext of resolving the issue, the group invited Kushal into a car and drove him to a secluded area near a lake, where they verbally abused and physically assaulted him. They reportedly threatened him with consequences similar to those seen in the Renukaswamy case.

Police Arrest Eight Accused

Based on the complaint filed by the victim, police have registered a case and, so far, arrested eight individuals in connection with the incident.
