BENGALURU — Geetu Mohandas’s action spectacle Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, is navigating a turbulent path at the Indian box office. Following a historic opening day, live tracking and trade data show a sharp 64% drop in collections, with footfalls slowing down across major single-screen and multiplex circuits.

Day-Wise Collection Breakdown

 Day 1 (Opening Day): The film opened to a staggering ₹101.10 crore net across all languages in India, driven by massive advance bookings and morning show occupancies.

 Day 2: All-India collections witnessed an immediate dip, settling at ₹36.40 crore net—marking a 64% decline from its Day 1 peak. The Hindi belt alone dropped from an estimated ₹50 crore to ₹19.50 crore.

 Day 3 (Live Status): Early tracking estimates live mid-day collections between ₹6.87 crore and ₹9.60 crore.

Raksha Bandhan Holiday Surge Could Save the Weekend

Trade analysts expect a turnaround during late afternoon and evening shows. With the Raksha Bandhan holiday driving family audiences to theaters, full-day trade estimates project Day 3 to finish between ₹45 crore and ₹50 crore net nationally.
