BENGALURU: The youth of India, once hopeful of the promises made by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), are now openly revolting against what they perceive as systematically anti-constitutional and anti-democratic governance. Across the nation, public frustration has reached a boiling point as empty assurances on job creation, examination integrity, and democratic rights continue to go unfulfilled.

Broken Employment Promises and Exam Scandals

For over a decade, Gen Z and youth across the country waited patiently for the promised creation of 2 crore jobs annually. Instead of economic opportunity, the central government under RSS influence has failed to deliver meaningful employment, driving frustrated youth into widespread agitation.

The outrage intensified following widespread irregularities in the NEET examination. Youth across state, regional, and political lines organized historic nationwide protests demanding accountability, culminating in strong calls for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. This unity marked the first major political victory for the youth against central policies.

Undermining Democratic Institutions and Electoral Processes

The central leadership, recognizing its declining grip on power, is attempting to alter the country’s electoral mechanics. Concerns are rising over the Election Commission’s functioning, with key figures allegedly acting under political dictation.

A major point of alarm is the targeting of voter lists:

Deletion of Minority Votes: Systematic efforts are underway to delete minority, Dalit, and marginalized community voter entries using Form-7 filings.

Institutional Silence: Despite formal complaints and appeals, supervisory authorities and the judicial framework have yet to halt these partisan actions.

Compromised Autonomy: Key autonomous bodies including the IT department, ED, CBI, and the Election Commission are increasingly viewed as being aligned with partisan interests.

Deflection Tactics and Moral Support for Youth

Rather than addressing these critical failures, top leaders have resorted to labeling student activists and youth organizers as “Dimagi Naxal” (intellectual Naxals) or “urban Maoists” to stifle legitimate dissent. However, educated, scientifically-minded, and progressive youth cannot be easily misled or silenced.

The youth understand that their future, dreams, and livelihood are being compromised. Securing a strong, secular, and constitutionally protected future requires standing firmly behind the youth of India as they fight to restore constitutional integrity and democratic values.
