Yash’s ‘Toxic’ Delay Opens Door for ‘Love Mocktail 3’; Darling Krishna Starrer Preponed to March 19
By Bangalore Mail Entertainment Bureau
BENGALURU: In a surprising turn of events for Sandalwood fans, the much-anticipated release calendar for 2026 has seen a major reshuffle. Following the postponement of Rocking Star Yash’s mega-project Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, the makers of Love Mocktail 3 have decided to seize the opportunity, moving their release date forward to fill the void.
Originally slated to hit theaters on April 10, 2026, Love Mocktail 3—the third installment of the beloved romantic franchise—will now arrive in cinemas on March 19, 2026.
The ‘Toxic’ Vacuum
The shift comes as a direct consequence of the delay facing Toxic. Directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by KVN Productions, the Yash-starrer has reportedly been pushed back due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East, which impacted the film’s extensive international shooting schedule.
Rather than leaving the prime late-March slot vacant, KVN Productions, who also hold the distribution rights for Love Mocktail 3, opted to prepone the romantic drama. The new March 19 date is strategically timed to capitalize on the Ugadi holiday season and the subsequent long weekend, ensuring a strong opening for the film.
Return of the Favourite Couple
Directed by Darling Krishna and co-written by his real-life partner Milana Nagaraj, Love Mocktail 3 carries high expectations. The franchise, which began as a sleeper hit in 2020 and followed up with a successful sequel in 2022, has built a loyal fanbase in Karnataka.
In this installment, Darling Krishna returns as the lead actor, director, and co-writer, while Milana Nagaraj continues her multifaceted role as actor, writer, and producer. The film also sees the return of Nakul Abhyankar as the music composer, following his hit soundtrack for the second part, with veteran Sri Crazymindzz handling cinematography and editing.
A Winning Streak for Darling Krishna
The advancement of the release date comes at a time when Darling Krishna is enjoying a career resurgence. After a string of lukewarm projects, his recent collaborations—including Kousalya Supraja Rama (2023) and Brat (2025)—have performed well at the box office. Fans are now eager to see if the magic of ‘Adi’ and his romantic escapades can score a hat-trick this March.
As the city gears up for a festive Ugadi, Bengaluru’s cinephiles may be missing Yash on the big screen, but they will have plenty of heart and humor to look forward to with the early arrival of Love Mocktail 3.
