In a significant move to appease protesting government job aspirants, the Siddaramaiah-led state government has announced plans to fill 56,000 vacant posts. The announcement comes after days of persistent demonstrations by candidates in Dharwad, demanding immediate recruitment drives.

District In-charge Minister Santosh Lad, speaking exclusively to the media, confirmed that the Chief Minister has finalized the decision and a formal declaration will be included in the upcoming state budget.

Politics Over Recruitment

Addressing the ongoing protests, Minister Lad took a sharp swipe at the BJP, accusing the opposition of orchestrating “political drama” using the youth as pawns.

“When the BJP was in power, how many posts did they fill? They didn’t fill a single one. Now that they know the state government is ready to initiate recruitment, they have started these protests to claim credit,” Lad stated.

He further alleged that the opposition’s strategy is to wait for the CM’s official announcement and then take to social media to claim the victory was a result of their pressure.

A Message to the Youth

While acknowledging that the demands of the job seekers are legitimate, the Minister urged the youth to maintain balance in their activism.

• Support for Candidates: “The demands of the youth are right, and we stand with them,” Lad noted.

• Call for Fairness: He challenged the protesters to show the same intensity toward the Central Government regarding national vacancies.

• Appeal for Peace: The Minister concluded by requesting the aspirants to keep their protests peaceful and avoid falling into political traps.

With the budget session approaching, all eyes are now on the Chief Minister to see the department-wise breakdown of these 56,000 promised roles.
