Bengaluru: January 18
In a commendable display of humanity and presence of mind, Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge personally intervened to help an accident victim in Bengaluru’s Sadashivanagar area on Tuesday.
According to sources, Kharge was passing through a relatively low-traffic stretch of road in Sadashivanagar when he noticed a man lying injured on the roadside following a motorcycle accident. The victim had reportedly sustained serious injuries and was in a weakened condition, with no immediate help in sight.
Without delay, the minister stopped his vehicle, assessed the situation, and arranged for the injured man to be shifted in his own car to M.S. Ramaiah Hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, Kharge spoke with medical staff to ensure the victim received immediate attention and treatment.
The swift action taken by the minister is being widely appreciated, with many lauding his humane response at a critical moment. Officials said the injured person is currently undergoing treatment, and further details about his condition are awaited.
Priyank Kharge’s intervention once again highlighted the importance of timely assistance in road accident cases, especially in situations where immediate medical help can be lifesaving.
