Raj Bhavan Renamed ‘Loka Bhavan, Karnataka’; Notification Comes Into Immediate Effect

Bengaluru: The official residence of the Governor of Karnataka has been renamed, with Raj Bhavan now officially designated as “Loka Bhavan, Karnataka.” The change has come into force with immediate effect following a communication from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and subsequent approval from the Governor.

According to the notification, all references to “Raj Bhavan, Karnataka” will now be replaced by “Loka Bhavan, Karnataka” in every official context. The order states that the new name will be used across all government communication and documentation henceforth.

The state government has directed all department heads to adopt the updated name in their correspondence, ensuring that the transition from the old nomenclature is implemented uniformly and without delay.

With the new designation now in effect, all official interactions, documents, and communications will refer to the Governor’s residence strictly as Loka Bhavan, Karnataka.
