Legislative Summit 2025 in Boston from August 4 – Karnataka Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti to Lead MLC Delegation

Bengaluru – The city of Boston in the United States will host the Legislative Summit 2025 from August 4 to 6, where Karnataka Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti will represent the state and lead a delegation of Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs).
The summit, organized under the aegis of the National Conference of State Legislatures and other global legislative bodies, will see participation from Indian Members of Parliament, MLAs and MLCs from various states, ministers, political analysts, policy makers, and prominent political leaders from across the globe.
The three-day summit will focus on key issues such as:
• Strengthening democratic institutions,
• Promoting non-partisan functioning of legislative assemblies,
• Ensuring financial autonomy of legislative bodies,
• And exploring the evolving role of legislatures in the modern political landscape.
Chairman Basavaraj Horatti and his team will actively participate in several panel discussions and deliberations centered on the role of legislative institutions in shaping political discourse and fostering national development.
The summit is expected to draw more than 15,000 delegates, including nominated MPs and legislators from across India, ministers, and global thought leaders. The event will feature a series of thematic sessions addressing:
