Bengaluru, July 16, 2025: Prominent Karnataka businessman and political figure KGF Babu has escalated a bitter family dispute over his assets, declaring that while he plans to distribute half of his ₹4,000 crore wealth to his wife and children, the remaining half will go to the residents of Chikkapete—specifically excluding his son, whom he accuses of conspiring against him.

Speaking at a press briefing in Bengaluru, Babu alleged that his son, in collusion with maternal relatives, colluded in a scheme against him. He also accused his son’s maternal uncle—who works at SBI—of taking out a loan of ₹60 crore, of which only ₹15 crore has been repaid, leaving ₹45 crore outstanding. To cover the repayment, Babu said he mortgaged assets worth ₹200 crore to bail out an associate named Mustafa. Yet today, he claims, the loan remains unsettled .

KGF Babu vowed: “I will donate ₹2,000 crore to my wife and children, and the other ₹2,000 crore to service the people of Chikkapete—but I won’t give a paisa to my son, who has conspired against me.” He further emphasized that despite having forgiven loans and secured assets, his son remains silent on repaying the remainder .

The dispute highlights a profound rift within the family and could reverberate through both their personal relationships and business legacy. With tensions high, it remains to be seen whether the conflict will subside or escalate into legal battles.
