“Let the BJP Look for Ardhanarishwara as National President,” Quips Congress Leader B.K. Hariprasad

Bengaluru: Senior Congress leader B.K. Hariprasad took a sharp jibe at the BJP, suggesting that the party might as well look for an Ardhanarishwara—a symbolic form representing both male and female aspects—as its next national president.
Responding to BJP leader R. Ashoka’s recent claim that Karnataka will witness a “revolutionary change” in the Chief Minister’s position by September, Hariprasad said, “Before talking about changing the CM, let R. Ashoka and B.Y. Vijayendra first focus on safeguarding their own positions.”
He further mocked the BJP for its delay in appointing a full-time national president. “It’s been over two years, and the BJP is still unable to appoint a new national president. Now they say they are searching for a woman leader. Why not go one step further and look for someone who is half-man, half-woman—an Ardhanarishwara? That would truly satisfy them,” he remarked sarcastically.
Hariprasad’s comments reflect the ongoing war of words between the Congress and BJP in Karnataka, especially as political tensions escalate ahead of upcoming electoral developments.
