Kannada movie Sanju weds Geetha-2 , supposed to be released in January 10th in theatres has been stalled by a court in Hyderabad.

South Indian film producer and financer Chintapalli Ramarao has brought a stay on the movie accusing financial mismanagement by director Nagashekhar in his previous Telugu movie ‘ Gurutunda Seethakalam’ released in 2022.

Speaking to Bangalore Mail, Ramarao said ‘’ Nagashekhar owes me ₹ 5 crore 25 lakhs which was financed by me for a Telugu movie directed and produced by him in the year 2022. He had failed to repay the loan as per agreement and there is an arbitration attached against the release of any of Nagashekhar’s movies across the country without setting my dues .Hence there is a stay on this release of his Kannada movie Sanju weds Geetha -2 in India until the dues are settled’’.

Ramarao also said that Chalavadi Kumar , producer of Sanju weds Geetha-2 attended the court in Hyderabad today regarding this case . Chalavadi Kumar questioned the petitioner ,of his production house been attached in this matter to which Ramarao replied that the arbitration does say Chalavadi Kumar also has been involved in this, as he had produced the movie for Nagashekhar been in knowledge of the pertaining case.

Sanju weds Geetha-2 will be released only after this case is settled in Hyderabad.
