New KPCC President to be announced after Parliament session

The Congress High Command has decided to bring in a new President for Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee .

The incumbent president D K Shivakumar will be replaced by a new president very soon .Shivakumar was appointed president in 2020 and continues to be in office till date .He is also the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka State holding dual power .

In the latest developments, many senior leaders of the party showed resentment against the party president for his style of functioning and not taking anyone into confidence. They had complained to the high command that D K Shivakumar took unilateral decisions without consulting other senior leaders on the appointment of party office bearers and chairmen to the board and corporations .

However D K Shivakumar will continue as the Deputy Chief Minister until next elections.

Sources from Congress High Command said the new president’s name will be announced next month after Parliament session .They said the new President will be chosen based on region and caste representation , also who can take everyone into confidence and work towards bringing the parry to power in 2028.
