Share

Chamarajanagar: Social Welfare Minister H C Mahadevappa has created a flutter with his statement that KPCC President and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, who has  asked all ministers to be ready to sacrifice  their positions and contest the Lok Sabha  polls, should  himself  take the lead.Mahadevappa was reacting to media’s queries on who would be the party’s candidate for the Chamarajanagar Lok Sabha seat.

Clarifying that he is not contesting from Chamarajanagar,  the minister said: “I have strived enough for the party. I am a person who works for the party’s principles.”Mahadevappa  said his  son Sunil Bose is an aspirant for the Chamarajanagar  Lok Sabha seat  not on grounds of being his son, but  in his capacity as a party worker. “Thrice he missed getting a ticket to  the Assembly, but that did not deter him from continuing to work for the party,” he added.
