Abhishek Singhvi likely to contest as Rajyasabha candidate from Karnataka

Bangalore :Speculations are high that the Congress party is likely to field party leader and advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi as a candidate from Karnataka, sources said.The elections for 56 Rajya Sabha seats in 15 states will be held of February 27.The three Karnataka Rajya Sabha members of Congress have completed their term of six years .

Syed Naseer Hussain is likely to be given the ticket to the upper house of the Parliament again where as the other two out going Rajya Sabha members G C Chandrashekhar and L Hanumanthaiah have bleak chances of being nominated again.

The others names doing the rounds are B V Srinivas, National Youth President of the party and Raghuram Ranjan , Former Governor of Reserve Bank of India .Congress can comfortably win three of the four seats Rajyasabha seats from karnataka.

Congress will announce its candidates in the next one to two days.
